Your man may be less than willing to admit it, but he needs you. It’s not simply a question of enjoying the company of a compatible female; it is more a matter of finding that leveling force in his life that keeps everything else from spiraling out of control.
Before you came along, his life was either dull and predictable or wild and unpredictable. Either way he was at the mercy of the winds of change in his life. One day the winds of change brought you into his life. After that his world, as he once knew it, was never the same again. Balance and direction took hold of him in ways he may never have expected.
If you doubt the effect your presence has on that mysterious, brooding man of yours, take a closer look. Have his goals changed to include you? Have his priorities been turned upside down? Are future decisions dependent on how you will fit in with those plans?
If the man in your life is still the same man he always was, with the exception of a new-found sense of stability that makes him want to measure up to the high standards you have set for him, you have only yourself to thank. Your presence has given him equilibrium. How, you may wonder, did all this come about? Quite simply, he wants to please you. You want a man who shoulders responsibility for himself; who is financially solvent; who has a game plan for the future. He will be all that and more. His days of spending lose and fast and hanging out all night with the boys are a part of his sordid past. His future is now. His future is you.
